There comes a point in every woman’s life where you lose hope in the male species and think to yourself “Maybe I should try lesbianism.” Oh, is that just me? Either way, I have put some thought in to the whole lesbian thing. Who makes me think twice about why I find men attractive? I compiled a list of what women I would totally go gay for. This list is not ranked whatsoever.
Greetings everybody alive and reading this. I’m gonna try to keep this “Shout Out” short and sweet otherwise it’d just turn into a review and it wouldn’t really be much of a Shout Out now would it? I recently(today) received an email newsletter from nin.com regarding a release of their newest album The Slip. I’m a HUGENORMUS fan of Nine Inch Nails so this news was rather exciting for me. Especially since lately “news” I’ve received has…well F’in sucked…but I digress. Back to the topic at hand! What makes this Shout Out so special is this new album by NIN is…wait for it….FREE!!!!! That’s right bipedal boys and girls! Gamin just laid down the fire!!!!! http://www.nin.com/ that’s the website, and it’s right on the main page! I’m listening to it right as I type, and the song titled Discipline is F’in awesome!!!! So far the album is pretty solid stuff, standard NIN’s sound so if you’re a fan you’ll like it. It’s vocals this time around unlike Ghosts which was cool, but so far this fits me better(I said me, maybe Ghosts fits YOU better; that’s what makes music great people, you decide) Others need not apply, but damn how hard can you be on a FREE album damn it! Trent Reznor will always be a music god for me even if he never reaches the heights of his yesturyears. I know this is a little quick but I just got to do this one because it’s been in my head for the whole week. My Top 5 “They Might Be Giants” songs. They are one of my favorite bands and I was lucky enough to see them live this past year. They put on a really good show. If you are a fan and get a chance, go see them live. Unless you’ve been living under a rock, or rarely frequent the file sharing news/blogs, you’ve heard about NIN’s latest album, Ghosts. The album is an experiment in promotion and has been a standout success. There are a lot of options for getting the music, ranging in price from Free to $75. There was an option for a $300 set of goodies that sold out in two days. That’s right SOLD OUT in two days. This garnered a neat $750,0001 from those alone. In the first week the bands total transactions were up to $1.6 million2. Most of this is pure profit for Trent Rezner et al. The experiment moves beyond NIN releasing this album w/o any label support and still making money. It goes much further. (more…)
