Premiering today on The Escapist (those guys that bring you Zero Punctuation and Unskippable), is a new, weekly series called The Escapist News Network, or simply ENN. In the spirit and style of Comedy Central’s The Daily Show, ENN takes a satirical look at gamer news. The premier has provided us with a look at international releases of Halo 3: ODST, some fantastic motion controls, and an in-depth look at Nerd Flu (also known as the PAX Pox or H1Nerd1).
Oh yeah, one more thing, it stars and is produced by my favorite Canadians, Loading Ready Run.

Ah yes, I knew I saved my My Little Pony collection from childhood for a reason. Weekend project! http://bit.ly/FWphp (via @nippys)
The link is kinda awesome. It is a very interesting gallery of modified My Little Ponies. You have to see it to know the awesome.
Here’s a few of my faves.

If you have ever studied Japanese culture you’ll quickly realize they have the ability to make the ridiculous rather awesome. Our latest bit of evidence … RoboGeisha! I am almost certain this movie makes no sense … but it looks really really really amusing. And how can you not love the voice over!
*WARNING* This is pretty graphic in parts, aka blood spurting and obscure means of death. Not really for the squeamish.
Nerdy rap! LOVE it! Good find by Veronica Belmont!
So, recently, I’ve become addicted to a site that’s missed my notice (and the notice of far too many others) called LoadingReadyRun.com. It’s by a bunch of guys (and a few ladies) from our neighbors up North. No, not Alaska . . . that place inbetween . . . y’know, Canada. Yeah, that place. But, that’s not what this is aboot. No, I’m here as a public service announcement, to promote these fine film makers. They’re geeks, they play D&D, they play lots of video games, they’re into anime, and they’re just plain funny to boot. They’ve been around since 2004 (at least) and their popularity continues to grow. They’ve even gotten to interview Uwe Boll!
They’ve got quite the gamut of comedy videos, which includes various sketch comedy, such as “ArMEGAddon” and “How To Talk Like A Pirate“. They report ridiculous real-world news stories via “The Phailhaus“. And, they teach us how to cook like a man with “Man Cooking“. Plus, they eat absolutely horrible things for the “Iron Stomach Challenge“. So, didn’t like watching them eat something gross? You think that’s bad? You think that’s bad? Well, I’ve seen Skeletor’s Dick!.
Seriously, check these guys (and gals) out! I think they’re hilarious. To be critical, sometimes their sketch comedy is a little off (dare I say “not all that funny”), but for the most part, they always make me laugh. They update every week (mostly), which makes them more reliable than us. But, what kind of professional procrastinators would we be if we didn’t put off posting stuff?
Grade: A for Awesomeness!
Catch ya’ later!
