Jason’s review: The official start of good TV season

So… Now i have a good reason to put something on here again. Two shows premiered for the season the other night, and me being the no TV owning fanboy that i am, i just got around to watching downloads right now-like.

First up- Castle Season 2 Ep1
If you guys haven’t read my previous, precious, review of season one, stop now and look it up and read it. Its full-o useful enjoyable info. The new episode kicks off the season with a good start. The banter and dark goofy sense of humor are still there in spades. …might be there in clubs and hearts too… I digress. Chemistry between the main characters is getting even better. Still a little thrown off by the supermodel police woman with a dark moody past, but its a fun enough ride to forget little things like that.

And second up is- HOUSE (!!!) Season 6 Ep1
I’m a sucker for this show and i pretty much think it can do no wrong, but i was nervous about the One Flying Cuckoo treatment. Don’t get me wrong. Its a natural fit and all. Last season played perfectly into it and i had no great reason to doubt the writers… It just seemed like a gamble is all. The gamble paid off pretty well.  The two hour premier/nearly movie type thing pits House against a determined psychiatrist played by Andre Braugher.  I’ve been a fan of Braugher since Homicide: Life on the streets and have been waiting patiently for him to jump back into TV with anything close to as powerful a character as Frank Pembleton.  This is one is a contender.  Too bad he isn’t a recurring character. There are bits of the episode that are a bit cliche, but cover new ground for House as a character.  I loved it.  I cried.  …Twice.  Can the laughter.  I know i’m a wimp.
