So I was watching the 80’s classic “Gung Ho” the other night and I realized the Hollywood land scape is missing something. 80’s Michael Keaton! Now I know what you are thinking, “Mar, you crazy!”, and to that I say ”FOR SHAME!”. Read more…

Just to let you know what to expect in the following entry. It will be a movie review featuring bits and pieces of information relating to my life. Hope you enjoy my novel of a post.
The other night, three girls sat down at a local restaurant discussing the details of one of the biggest chick flicks of the year to hit theaters; Sex and the City. One of them named, Claire started to compare her life and the life of one of the characters in the movie, “I think it was selfish of her to do that,” she explained. The other girl, Sydney quickly responded, “She was unhappy though.” Read more…
He ran his hands across the wheel, feeling each bump and stitch of its surface. Gripping it, he heard a squeak and became aware of the leather’s grip to his bare hands. Niko Bellic sat in his jet-black Infernus, cradled in the luxurious cockpit, and he relished the adrenaline rush he knew was to come. Looking up at the stars, he felt that they were on his side. The left corner of his mouth lifted into a smirk as he dialed his friend.
“Yeah?!” the voice on the other end barked.
“Hey, Brucie. I feel like winning something. Know of any races?”
“NB! You’re an animal, baby! Yeah! There’s one in mid-Alderney! Get to Roebuck Road in Alderney City! Destroy ‘em!”
“Thanks.” Read more…

So I just got back from watching what in my opinion is one of the best CGI action movies since “The Incredibles”. Kung Fu Panda, from start to finish, is pure awesomeness, and in the words of Po (Jack Black) “There is no charge for awesomeness!” Read more…

There’s a good chance that I’m the only one in this group that enjoyed Speed Racer. It was not cinematic gold but it kept me mostly entertained for the two hours and fifteen minutes of its running time. I guess in some fairness I have more history with the series than anyone else in the crew. I was introduced to the show while in middle school and it was rather like a joining of two awesome things, James Bond-esque cars and animation. I had a bonding with the silly plots and the weird cars that crisscrossed in a weird wonderland of joy. I doubt I’ve seen the entire series, just bits and pieces but they all had this feel to them that was really unique. Read more…
Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull
A Review by Cade Antilles

As a youth, growing up in the 80s and 90s, I was drawn to tales of adventure. Possibly the greatest adventure hero in film history, and a definite childhood favorite of mine, is Indiana Jones. In all honesty, it is mostly due to the Indiana Jones franchise that I’d gained such a love of history.
It has been a long time in coming, but the silver screen was finally graced, once again, with that iconic fedora. Harrison Ford reprises his role as the intrepid archaeologist in the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Directed by Steven Spielberg and written by George Lucas, it had the trappings of a perfect union, because it was the golden formula that spawned the original trio. However, the newest addition just couldn’t measure up to the splendor of its predecessors.
This is going to be long, but it needs to be.

OK… So to prove that not everything i am a not a big initial fan of is put directly on my shit list here is my review of the new Narnia.
My background with the books is slim to none, but i did end up seeing most of the adaptations for PBStv/BBCtv howevermany years ago that was. I remember it being kinda cool, but being thrown off by the humans in animal suits. Not a huge fan of humans in animal suits. Don’t have enough furry tendancy to really like em. So… when the new Narnia movie series came out i was a little excited. I thought kinda cool would be upgraded to really cool. Unfortunately that time i was thrown of by some shaky acting (kids. what could i expect right?) and a less than fluid story line. I could still sorta count myself a fan cause it had just about every fantasy creature i could think of, but the only really neat thing they did with em was the massive battle at the end. Now that my history with it is sorta established, here is my positive review of the new one.. Read more…
