So I just got back from watching what in my opinion is one of the best CGI action movies since “The Incredibles”. Kung Fu Panda, from start to finish, is pure awesomeness, and in the words of Po (Jack Black) “There is no charge for awesomeness!”

This movie did not disapoint me. The animation was great. All of the fight and action sequences, and there were a lot of them, were really well done The voice acting was top notch. Although with all of the talented actors, comic or other wise, they couldn’t go wrong really. Let me just run the names down for you: Dustin Hoffman, Ian McShane, Jack Black, Seth Rogen, David Cross, James Hong, Randall Duk Kim, Michael Clark Duncan, Lucy Liu, Angelina Jolie, Jackie Chan…OK I know I didn’t have to list all of them, but I was really impressed with the talent. Even if you aren’t a fan of some of them they are all really good at what they do.

I really can’t say enough. It was funny, had some awesome explosions, had fantastic action, it was exciting, had an awesome sense of style, it was well written. It even had a really cool “Samurai Jack” esque animated opening sequence. Hell, if they ever did a sequel I honestly wouldn’t mind them scraping the CG and just using that style. As a matter of fact the only negative thing I can think to say about the movie was that it wasn’t long enough. They could have expanded some of the characters a bit since they had all these really big names in the roles, but oh well. Nothing is perfect.

Over all I give this movie 4 1/2 Arizona green teas out of 5.
